Creature Comforts
Power: There is power in most bunk areas of the ship, if you need power for a CPAP at your bunk please bring a 2 prong adapter and an extension cord. Locate your bunk after boarding the ship, and prepare your cable before heading upstairs to dance or onto the vibe rooms and panels through the ship
Connectivity: Cell phone service is non-existent on the ship’s lower decks, so plan accordingly. WiFi is usually available at about 1Mbps and can often support voice calls.
Showers: There are showers aboard the USS Hornet for Galactic Campers. Avoid being a musky husky or a stinky yeen, give the showers aboard the USS Hornet a spin! Pictured below
Bathrooms: Some bathrooms have wooden doors, others have curtains. Explore the ship, take in the novelty of how they made things work for well over 2000 seamen that lived aboard this ship!
Know before you go
Accommodations: Expect authentic, confined bunks adjacent your fellow furries, not a luxury hotel.
What to Bring: You must bring your own sleeping bag, pillow and gear. Pack light, as you'll carry your belongings up the pier and down a deck through ladders. For valuables, bring a case and lock to secure to your bed or furniture below deck.
Lights: At night the ship turns on its red lights in the hallways to enable easier low light navigation of the ship. A face mask to block light is suggested. Be thoughtful of your cabin mates, if they would like the light off please turn it off! There are plenty of areas on the ship for you to enjoy the ambiance.
Privacy: The USS Hornet was designed to accommodate 2,600 officers and enlisted men. To accomplish this not much privacy is afforded, with communal bunks and facilities.
Noise: Bring Earplugs! The USS Hornet is made out of metal, the soothing sounds of the bay travel quietly through the ship. Your fellow furries might make noise at inopportune times.
